In 1981, I had the the idea to add a fixed-wing licence to my helicopter permit. I took just 5 hours of flying lessons at Jandakot Airport in Western Australia.
Coming from a helicopter background, I soon realised that fixed-wing flying just can’t compete - sorry to all you fixed-wingers.
